James Shaya
MD., FAAP.

Dr James Shaya attended Wayne State University School of Medicine. He did his Residency training in Pediatrics at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. He is board certified in Pediatrics and is an active fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He started practice in Michigan in 1991 and has been affiliated with St. Joseph Mercy Oakland, William Beaumont Hospital and Children’s Hospital of Michigan. He area of special interest are in the treatment of ADHD and learning disabilities. He is married and has two daughters and one son. Dr Shaya is a five-time published author and has written for many different magazines and newspapers. His interests include skiing, golf, and travel.  He has practiced Pediatrics for his entire career in the Clarkston community and feels a special bond with the people here.

Satish Sundar
MD., FAAP., DCH.

Dr. Sundar did his Residency training initially at King Edward Memorial Hospital in Bombay, India and after being a chief resident, moved to Royal Oak and completed a Residency in Pediatrics at William Beaumont Hospital. Having travelled and trained in different settings, he is well versed in tropical medicine and has a passion for management of food allergies. He is board certified in Pediatrics and is an active fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He started practice in Michigan in 1993 and has been affiliated with St. Joseph Mercy, Oakland and William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. He is the immediate past President of our Physician Organization, OPNS and stays active in-patient advocacy and metrics analytics to provide comprehensive care. He loves technology, travelling and takes great pride in this practice he has built with other physicians in this community. He is married with two daughters.

Mark Thomas
MD., FAAP.

Dr. Thomas completed his undergraduate studies in 1989 at the University of Michigan, medical school in 2000 at Wayne State University and Pediatric Residency in 2003 at Royal Oak Beaumont Hospital.  He has been practicing at Premiere Pediatrics since 2003.  He is board certified in Pediatrics and on staff at Royal Oak Beaumont Children’s Hospital and St Joseph Mercy Oakland.  He is a sports enthusiast, enjoys sailing and boating, and traveling with his family.  He is married and has a son and a daughter.  Prior to his medical career, he was a high school history teacher.  His wife is also a teacher and he as always enjoyed having a career taking care and working with children. 

Mayura Tripathi
 MSN, RN CPNP-PC

Mayura is from Dallas, TX and recently moved to Michigan. She received her Bachelor's degree in nursing from Texas Tech University in 2017 and soon after started her career as a NICU RN.

She worked as both a NICU nurse and school nurse for 4 years before graduating with her Master's degree in nursing from Texas Woman's University in 2021. 

Mayura joined the practice in February of 2022. She has a huge passion for working with children and families and loves to incorporate that into the care she gives. With her many years of NICU experience, Mayura is passionate about working with premature infants and newborns. 

In her free time, Mayura loves to spend time with her husband, workout, run her social media blog and travel.

Ashley Polidan-Papp
 MSN, APRN FNP-C

Ashley is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who graduated with honors from Frontier Nursing University in Versailles, KY, and trained alongside Dr.Sundar during her pediatric clinical rotation. She has worked in healthcare for well over 15 years in various capacities. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, she worked as a registered nurse for eight years, starting her career in Hematology and Oncology at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak.
Her training focuses on providing care across the lifespan, with a personal passion for caring for the pediatric population from birth to adolescence. She enjoys getting to know her patients and their families while establishing long-term care relationships.
Ashley is a Clarkston native who strives to care for and serve those within her community. When she is not caring for patients, she enjoys reading, baking, painting, and spending time with her husband and two young children, often traveling to Disney.
